Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and will close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home that has a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined household money does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African nsfas login ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All more info students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously check here and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
